Handyman Pro of Hudson is seeking a skilled carpenter who would ideally have a variety of home improvement skills to support the growth of our business. We're looking for a select few experienced, motivated, and organized home improvement professionals that can work directly with customers to successfully complete current projects and open doors to future projects. All candidates should have great customer service skills.

Responsibilities

The Carpenter performs and coordinates the cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials during the construction, remodeling, or repair in a residential or commercial setting. You must have experience as a residential and/or commercial carpenter, and you must have a positive attitude. You will work within a territory which includes Stow, Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls, Twinsburg, Solon, Chagrin Falls, and other towns in these general areas

Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of various types of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues and present a description of a work order to a customer.

Requirements

Previous experience in the carpenter field - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the carpenter service
Mechanical aptitude – knowledgeable and skilled in using various hand and power tools
Knowledge of appropriate materials and parts
Ability to learn and operate a variety of basic computer programs and systems
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
Team player; strong collaboration skills
Be a self-starter with the ability to organize multiple projects, manage rapidly shifting priorities and produce tangible, measurable results
Must have a valid drivers' license with a good driving record and be insurable
Basic business math and legible handwriting

Education

Technical /apprenticeship training a plus.

Physical Demands

Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50+ lbs., Carrying 50+ lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of the torso. Also includes working in cramped spaces, on ladders, and with power tools and performing manual labor in an outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.
