We are currently expanding our team and seeking skilled, reliable 1099 sub-contractors who are passionate about their craft and ready to contribute to our success.

Position Overview: As a 1099 Sub-Contractor with House Doctors of SW Atlanta, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of remodeling services. We are looking for experienced professionals who can manage their own schedule, work independently, and produce high-quality work on a variety of residential remodeling projects.

Responsibilities:

Complete remodeling tasks such as carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, and other trades as needed.
Follow project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Communicate effectively with project managers and clients to ensure a smooth project flow.
Manage your own tools and equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in the remodeling industry (minimum of 5 years preferred).
Ability to perform high-quality work across a variety of trades (carpentry, drywall, flooring, etc.).
Own tools and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Valid contractor’s license (if applicable) and insurance (general liability and workers’ comp).
Ability to pass background checks and drug screening (if applicable).
Professional and dependable with excellent communication skills.

I became a part of the House Doctors family approximately 15 years ago. Steve, the owner brought me in to help manage jobs and to help do estimates. I came with the knowledge of doing a variety of things from digging footers to the construction of entire homes. It was pretty much a natural fit. The owner and I were both problem solvers and driven to find solutions to customers' problems. As time moved on we continued to grow and take on more jobs and bigger projects. As years passed we had conversations about Steve stepping back and me buying the business. As of July 2020, we made the transition and I am now the owner. When people ask what we do, I like to say we are in the customer service business, in the field of handymen. Providing great customer service and solving our customers issues is what’s most important. I truly feel House Doctors is a family and could not imagine partnering up with anyone else. We can grow as much as we want. It’s totally up to us.
