Position Summary
House Doctors of Lake Country is seeking an Handyman Apprentice/Helper to join our team on a flexiblebasis. This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience who can perform basic handyman tasks and is eager to learn from more experienced technicians.
As a Handyman Apprentice/Helper, you’ll have flexibility in your schedule while gaining valuable, hands-on training with the opportunity to grow into a full technician role.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete basic handyman services under supervision (light carpentry, drywall patching, painting, caulking, fixture installation, minor repairs).
- Assist experienced handymen on larger jobs — preparing work areas, carrying tools, clean-up, and finishing touches.
- Maintain a professional appearance and excellent customer service when on-site with clients.
- Keep job sites and tools organized and clean.
- Track your time and job details accurately.
- Follow safety protocols and company quality standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of handyman, construction, or trade experience preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of tools, home repair methods, and safe work practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Must provide reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical labor.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Contractor Details
- 1099 Independent Contractor: You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
- Flexible Scheduling: Work assignments are based on availability and workload.
